What do I have to do if my vehicle type is not listed in the certificate or the ABE?
You must carry out an individual approval in accordance with §21. You have a tested component with a vehicle type that is not listed. We have the following note in the certificate for this:
"Note: If the special control arm is fitted to a vehicle that is not listed here, an attachment assessment must be carried out by an officially recognized expert (aaS/aaSmT) from a technical inspection body for motor vehicle traffic."
In principle, this is not a problem. The important thing is that the inspections may only be carried out by a fully qualified expert from TÜV or Dekra. Please discuss your plans with the responsible testing institution. Explain that there is a TÜV parts certificate for the component in accordance with §19/3 and that only your model is not listed in the area of application.
